The bird and wildlife is spectacular with kangaroos, red and white tailed cockatoos, galahs, parrots and blue wrens to name a very few. Relax next to the lake, enjoy a BBQ in the gazebo, cosy up next to the wood burner fire or take a walk around the grounds and in the National Park. Armadale is just 7 minutes away in the car with its indoor shopping, restaurants, cinema and olde world Pioneer and Elizabethan Villages. Nearby are Araluen Gardens, Roleystone's art galleries, pottery and curio shops, Cohunu Wildlife Park and Armadale Reptile and Wildlife Centre. Just 30 minutes away is Perth CBD and the lovely beaches of Safety Bay and Rockingham with its fishing, sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling and seafront cafes and picnic areas.
